How we started

At the turn of the century, the Barajas family started Mercado Santa Carmela. To this date, it is still a 100% family owned business which is manages by Gaby and Daniel, the two younger siblings. Together, we have been able to grow the business which is nowadays referred to as simply Santa Carmela.

Having been raised in the United States and missing some of our favorite goodies, the idea to import the foods we missed was conceived. From then on, the focal point was to always offer unique products that were not available in Cabo.
